Underwhelming

First time shipper. After researching on-line, went with Amerifreight. I was very looking forward to writing my own glowing review, but unfortunately not the case.

I paid extra $$ for the Select Express rate, which guaranteed a pick up within 2 days. It took 2 weeks. I kept calling about a pick-up date, and was told either all the trucks were going north-south and not east-west, or that the location was too remote to catch a drivers attention. These all seemed like resonable explanations, but I was not informed about this upfront.

They generally did not response or were very slow in responding to my e-mails and calls, until I finally made a stink.

Once I made contact with the dispatcher at the actual trucking company, they were my main contact point from then on and have not heard from Amerifreight. I did have some issues with scheduling the pick-up due to a "family" situation, which was not any fault of Amerifreights and was well after I had established contact with the trucking company.

Not sure what to tell prospective shippers. Amerifreight made $300 just to make contact with A Unique Transport. You might be better off just contacting a trucking company directly.

We do apologize for the delayed shipment. Occasionally, particular routes can be difficult even for higher shipping rates. Due to this customer's situation, AmeriFreight added money towards the shipment as well. We were appreciative of the customer's patience in us securing a carrier. Every voicemail that is left does get a call back by the next business day. This person's order was handled by our Shipping Agent, Jonathan- direct line 678-369-4162
