I had a terrible experience with AmeriFreight and their so-called “AFTA Protection Plan.”
After paying a $393 broker fee, AmeriFreight completely disappeared. They never contacted me once after booking, and when my vehicle was delivered with windshield damage, they pushed me to AFTA Plan. AFTA turned out to be slow, unprofessional, and nearly impossible to reach — their phone number doesn’t even work. Every email update takes more than a week, and even their “settlement” estimate was completely wrong, showing only a split payment instead of the actual full replacement cost.
AmeriFreight kept claiming they “are not experts” and refused to help. The only reason AFTA even responded was because I filed a BBB complaint. Without outside pressure, AmeriFreight and AFTA both ignored me for weeks.
This is not real protection — it feels like a scam add-on that misleads customers. I strongly advise anyone considering AmeriFreight to stay away, and definitely don’t waste money on the AFTA Plan.
