Thank you to Harry Davis for helping get my vehicle transported from SC to NM (order 20578147). He was very friendly and helpful. My only recommendation (and this is not specific just to AmeriFreight) is to provide a quote that is closer to or even slightly above what the carriers are likely to charge. I received quotes from a NUMBER of transport companies and they ranged from $800-$1300. AmeriFreight was in the middle. However, the carrier who was able to take my job was $300 higher than Amerifreight's quote. While I could have declined that offer, I would have had to wait additional time for my car. Having said that, Harry worked with me to get the price down slightly - but I still paid almost $200 more than I anticipated. I know there are a number of factors that go into the pricing but it would be helpful to know up front if the original quote given is actually reasonable and one that a carrier is likely to accept. Ultimately, my vehicle was picked up and dropped off without issue and I appreciate Harry's assistance.
