Purchased a vehicle in New York and had it transported to California. Horrible experience! ETA was originally 2/14 changed to 2/16 then 2/17 finally was delivered 2/18. Various excuses given truck trouble, traffic, weather, road closure. AmeriFreight basically charged $350 to have my car picked up and then I was on my own to communicate with carrier. Vehicle was delivered in an old trailer being pulled by an older regular dodge ram and my vehicle was absolutely filthy! Could not determine that there were paint scratches since the vehicle is white but was covered in dirt/mud.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. While we completely understand how frustrating delays can be, pickup and delivery dates are always estimated and not guaranteed due to factors like weather, traffic, and mechanical issues—all of which can impact transport schedules. That said, our team remained in contact throughout your shipment, providing updates along the way. Regarding the condition of your vehicle upon arrival, it’s normal for cars to accumulate dirt during a cross-country open transport. Fortunately, we do offer enclosed shipping as an option. We appreciate your feedback and are always looking for ways to improve the shipping experience.
