In order to choose a shipping service to move my two vehicles across the country I had two criteria:
1) minimize the time it took for meet to set up and arrange the move and
2) pay a competitive price
AmeriFreight met both of these criteria perfectly and I could not have been happier. In a brief phone conversation Bob explained how vehicle shipping works and how AmeriFreight would make it happen for me. We scheduled my shipping window and I agreed to the terms via email. A week before the shipment Bob called to inform me that I had a carrier and told me the driver would contact me. The driver did so, we arranged a pickup time and he came directly to my house to load the vehicles. On the other end the driver contacted me a day before he arrived and delivered the vehicles to my door.
The windshield on one of my vehicles was cracked from what appeared to be a rock. The driver and I called a local glass shop, they gave me an estimate of $150 and the driver paid me in cash for the damage.
In total I probably spent less than an hour dealing with the shipment, from initial contact with AmeriFreight via their website to receiving my vehicles on the other side of the country. I would highly recommend their service. The price appeared to be competitive from the other estimates I received online.
