when you place an order, your bid is placed and waits for a truck driver to "accept" your bid. I allowed for a 2 week window in case my bid was not picked up on time (it was picked up 5 days later after raising the bid by $220). the car arrived from st louis to san francisco in 4 days. the only downside is that you need someone who is immediately able to pick up the car at your destination, or else the driver will take your car on another ride around the country and charge you extra.
overall, a smooth and convenient way to ship my car. Bob Turner (my point person) was extremely responsive and responsible.
