Great Customer Service, But Slow to Ship

I am being compensated for this review, but I aim to give an honest assessment of my experience with AmeriFreight and my agent Bob Turner.<br><br>

<b>The Good - </b><br><br>

First off, Bob Turner was my agent from AmeriFreight and he was forthright, honest, and knowledgeable. I chose AmeriFreight because they were the best price I could get from a company with a positive reputation from the searches I used - Google, Yelp, UShip, etc. We started at 875 (including 175 commission) - a full 250 less than the next leading bid for my Honda to ship from NJ to CA. However....<br><br>

<b>The Bad - </b><br><br>

It ended up not attracting any car movers. Even though I picked the lowest tier service, he still said it was an average of 5-7 days to ship. We communicated multiple times, upping the price several times. It ended up taking over 6 weeks to get my car here, instead of 2-3 like I had hoped. And I ended up paying 1075 rather than 875, only 50 dollars cheaper than other companies. <br><br>

<b>Redeeming factors </b>- <br><br>

Bob was always courteous, and from my position, appeared to genuinely try hard to get my car moved. I don't know the behind the scenes of car shipping brokerage, and I take him at his word it was a difficult route to secure. In addition he ended up cutting 100 dollars of the commission to bolster the driver pay to 1000, so I wouldn't have to go over 1100 on my end.

<b>Final Verdict-</b><br><br>

Go with them if you want an honest and hardworking company with knowledgeable staff. However, do not trust their shipment times, or be deadset on the first quote - it may take weeks more and cost hundreds extra ultimately. However, truthfully, because all these companies act as brokers, this situation may have occurred elsewhere as well. That's why I give them the benefit of the doubt and would probably use them again.
