In the end, I am satisfied with AmerFreight. Their customer service and drivers were very professional and friendly too. When problems occurred, they made up for it quickly. In the interest of full disclosure, they did have pick-up and delivery scheduling issues that I have detailed below. First, I got an e-mail my car would be picked up on the 29th. When I called to confirm I found out that e-mail was a Dispatch error, and the day I was waiting for the car to be picked up, was not correct. I was told that they called me and left a message, but as it turned out they called the 'wrong' number. All of the phone numbers on the paperwork were correct. So, I told the shipping company, that they should have also sent an e-mail about the re-schedule, like they did for everything else. I told them I was upset and please correct this as soon as possible. They did, and the car was picked up the next day. Second, the delivery was about 3 days later than expected. When my daughter was told by the driver it would be delivered in the afternoon, it instead arrived at 11:30 at night. The car arrived in good shape. Per my daughter, who took delivery of the vehicle, the driver did call a few times with updates of his location so she was not left just wondering. The driver was friendly and drove the car to her parking space for drop off, and that was very convenient. AmerFreight, did refund part of my deposit, and that was given to the driver as cash on deliver and it is probably the reason the driver had incentive to pick up the vehicle. So in the end, I still paid about the same amount in the contract, just more Cash On Delivery.
