In short, Denise, the operations manager at All Coast worked a miracle for me. If I ever had to ship a car again, I would absolutely turn to her first. All Coast got the job done efficiently and for a very reasonable price (both commission and driver fee).
In long: I was moving across the country from CA and needed my car shipped to my new address in WI. A couple weeks ahead of my move, I began working with a different broker (a CA company high on the google results list) that indicated a 1-7 pickup window. 8 days later, they still hadn't even found a carrier for my car despite several follow-up calls, so I began to worry. I started looking up negative reviews of that broker that echoed my exact situation, and I saw that several people mentioned that All Coast got it done for them in the end, so I called Denise.
To be honest, I was skeptical of working with another broker and getting burned. I was even looking into selling my car and buying a new one at my destination. I really need a car, and renting one while I waited for mine to get assigned a carrier was going to make the combined cost of shipping and renting exceed my car's worth :(
However, Denise was extremely kind and sympathetic of my hesitation, and she agreed to help me without even taking a deposit until she could find a carrier. I signed an e-contract with Denise on a Friday, and by Monday she had found a driver! What's more, she responded to my emails over the weekend, and she was very flexible and accommodating of my need to change the delivery address. The driver she found did request an additional $50, but Denise asked me upfront if I would accept this before booking the order, so there were no surprises. All in all, the rate was still extremely reasonable - $750 to the carrier (cash on delivery) and $150 to All Coast (by credit card upon booking), which is a lower commission than many other brokers.
The driver was Vadim with Gigi Line, and he was very prompt and communicative via phone and text before and during both pickup and delivery. My car arrived in WI ahead of schedule, making up for some of the time I wasted working with the other broker. It was impressively dirty, but I expected that since it had to cross the Sierras and the Rockies during winter storms. Otherwise, my car was in the exact condition I left it, including everything in the trunk.
On the whole, I was extremely impressed and grateful to Denise and All Coast. I was getting desperate and feeling turned off by the auto transport industry, but Denise was my fairy godmother miracle worker in all this!
When I first saw All Coast mentioned in the negative reviews of the other broker, I had wondered if they were planted by All Coast, but now I'm a believer after having the personal experience of being left in the lurch by the other broker and saved by Denise and All Coast. Denise took care of me personally from start to finish, was responsive to calls and emails (even over the weekend), and got the job done exactly as I needed, and efficiently and kindly.
