We are very sorry to hear that Mr. Joe Harbour of Portsmouth, VA, is unhappy with the service we provided. We did inform him of why the quote he was given changed. He placed his order on April 28th but his truck was not ready for transport until 2 months later on June 20th. During this time, as everyone who drives a vehicle is aware, fuel prices continued to soar. This, in combination with a busier summer season, caused his quoted price to change. We do our very best to quote all our customers as accurately as possible, but there is no way anyone can know how drastically prices can change in 2 months time. As Mr. Harbour mentioned, his vehicle was oversized and this is a contributing factor as well. Not all carriers want to transport larger vehicles. We did not low ball his price quote. It was accurate at the time of his order 2 months prior to his transport.
***Note to consumers: If your vehicle is not ready to be transported within 2 weeks of placing your order, it is a possibility your price may or may not change, no matter what company you go with. This should be discussed at the time you place your order. It was with this customer as well.
