My boyfriend initially spoke to Carlos whom told him that he could give us a "deal" and have our car shipped for $700 I just got separated from the military and was looking for a good price seeing as I need to watch my money now. I called Carlos myself to confirm this and get more information he proceeded to tell me that he would take care of us that they where a great reputable company. He told me to give him a 2 day pick up window(I chose July 12-13) and it would take about 5-7 days to get to me in Florida he even went as far as telling me "we already have a spot for you on the truck you just got to sign the contract". I expressed to him the importance of getting my vehicle as soon as possible because I have a baby and lots of Things I need to take care of ASAP for my transition out of the military. The day before my scheduled "pick-up" day I called Carlos just to be told "oh we are backed up due to the fourth if July we should be able to get it Monday or Tuesday"(um maybe you should have been the one to call me) every time I called I was told "I will call you back tonight with more info" and nothing I always had to call back the next day. They pushed back 2 days every time saying they where backed up. Finally I was informed that I was on the super saver plan and it could be 30-45 business days before my car got shipped. This is something that should have been clarified instead of telling me that my car "had a spot on their truck" and I would have it within about 5 days I just needed to give them a 3 day window. They have called with possible drivers willing to pick up my car but for hundreds of dollars more then the price I was quoted. I do not have the money to pay hundreds of extra dollars or get a rental for 30 days. Now it's July 21st I am sitting in Florida while my car is in San Diego I have no way to get to the VA or take care of the things I need to for my daughter. I have had a horrible stressful experience I just need my car so bad. I can't even cancel because they require 12days past the first available pick up day and even then I'm not guaranteed a refund. Great job ALS for putting a veteran in such a crappy situation and making a buck out of me at a vulnerable moment in my life.
