Glad I did not go with a lowball offer

After a search for a shipping company, checking rating websites, I was more confused than ever. One quote stood out as it was higher than the average $800 to $900 quote. I wrote to this company and exchanged email and then phone calls with a Werner O. He told me that with Durango not being near any interstate, plus being isolated in the SW Corner of Colorado; truckers would want additional monies to do a pickup there. That frankly made sense to me. I wrote to two other companies that had lower quotes and got the “it is an estimate and won’t know the exact amount until we contact the actual trucker doing the hauling.” They also pushed for a CC number. I went with Werner and 7startransport. Twice I changed dates with him, which meant he had to cancel with one hauler and find another for the new date. He did this with a smile in his voice, did not ask for extra monies, and ended up with exactly what I wanted. He specifically told me about different actual haulers, and recommended one over the other who wanted an additional $100 bucks to come to Durango, stating the other trucker on that date had four complaints in the last year. The trucker showed up and turned out to be a great guy. Gave him $20 bucks for dinner and he told me if there was a problem on the delivery, he would call me before doing anything like simply dumping the truck in a parking lot. Frankly what at first blush looked like a nightmare, thanks to Werner and 7startransport was totally painless. I would never use another company after this great experience.
