I'm a first-time shipper (pickup truck) and was lucky enough to find the TransportReviews website. I picked the six top-rated shippers and requested quotes from all of them. When the quotes came in, I chose three companies to call - one at the high end, one in the middle, and one at the low end. I was most impressed with Eric of 1st Call Auto Haul. His manner and knowledge inspired confidence, so I hired him. 1st Call Auto Haul was in the middle of the price range at $569.

I placed my order on a Wednesday, with a definite pickup date of the following Wednesday, because I was leaving town on Thursday. I didn't hear any word over the weekend, but on Tuesday, I got a call from Billy of Ings Transport. He said that he would be by that afternoon to pick up my truck, if that was convenient. He was on time, verified the delivery location, and said the truck would be delivered within two days, but probably in one day. The following day, Wednesday, my friend in South Carolina called to say that the truck had been delivered. One day service!

I was impressed with the services of both Eric and Billy and would hire both of them again.
