First time shipping a car, so we entered the process with some anxiety. Checked out this vendor and another one on the BBB web site- both had 'A' ratings or better. The videos on this vendor's web site were very helpful. I got an immediate callback from Stefan, who was knowledgeable, polite, and easy to work with. Not only was his first quote more competitive, but he was able to get it accepted within 48 hours of posting- which indicated that he knew how to avoid a negotiation process without overpricing at the start. This sped up the process nicely.
Communication with ShipACar and the transporter was superb. I received immediate and follow-up calls from the transporter, and over a dozen e-mails from ShipACar throughout the process, reminding me to do certain things. They have a free smartphone app that walks you through the picture-taking phase before and after pick-up and delivery- that was helpful too. We had good communication from the driver on both ends, receiving several phone calls and text messages alerting us how far he was out and when we could expect him. Pick-up and delivery was flawless. The driver seemed experienced and was polite and professional. There was no damage.
Although our door-to-door locations were by no means inaccessible, we understood the extra challenges and time involved in getting to them with a vehicle the size they use. We adopted a cooperative attitude with the transporter and found locations for pick-up and delivery that were acceptable to us both.
Although the company has offered an incentive to submit this review, it's an honest one. A good experience that exceeded my expectations.
